Rainfall by Rachel Rain

Rainfall is a memoir of heartbreak, a documentary of character growth, and a pledge to self love told chronologically in three parts. Through both poetry and prose, then recounted from the narrative of a young woman engulfed by heartbreak, Rainfall explores the intersections of the melancholy side of love as well as the divine parts of it. With original illustrations by Margaret Hobbs and Leyla Omar, Rachel Rain offers a space for readers to consume the raw, the messy, and the genuine experiences of her grief and depression. Themes represented in this collection include unrequited love, confusion, desperation, sex, purpose, self love and are tributed to the healing powers of the rain cycle. Rainfall is best read while wearing an oversized sweater, sitting near a window during a rainstorm, and sipping a cup of tea.
