Rev. Harvey Daiho Hilbert is a disabled combat veteran who was shot in the head, recovered, went on to become a psychotherapist, ending up being a Zen Buddhist monk and artist. From high school dropout he went on to obtain a PhD in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University and was given Dharma transmission in 2005. He is the founding abbot of the Order of Clear Mind Zen.
