When two girls meet, they realize that they could be twins, even though they couldn't be more different. Shira is the daughter of a rabbi, and Esther is the daughter of a vaudeville performer. However, Shira dreams of the stage while Esther desperately wants to study the Torah. Their parents want each girl to follow in their footsteps. If only they could switch places, each girl could live out her dream. So, they do; they switch. Can they pull it off? Will each girl achieve her secret dream, or will they be discovered?
