Ganesh Sitaraman - The Great Democracy: How to Fix Our Politics, Unrig the Economy, and Unite America — at Politics and Prose at The Wharf

Upcoming Event
Monday, January 6, 2020 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

As a professor at Vanderbilt Law School, a longtime advisor to Elizabeth Warren, a former lecturer at Harvard Law School, and onetime law clerk to Judge Stephen F. Williams, Sitaraman has an extraordinary breadth of experience. In his new book he draws on the lessons of these various political, legal, and academic sectors to outline two contrasting visions of the post-neoliberal era. One set of choices will bring us to a nationalist oligarchy, with entrenched inequality and other social ills. An alternative course, however, will establish a great democracy, and Sitaraman shows what we must do to put in place a system that fights corruption and extends political and economic power to everyone.
